New Bibliobloggers: Samantha L. Pascoe, Josh Philpot, and Matt Estrada

Posted by Biblioblog Top 50 minions on November 12, 2009

We added three new bibliobloggers to The Complete List of Biblioblogs:

Samantha L. Pascoe

Samantha L. Pascoe

1. Samantha L. Pascoe (Scholarly Bound). Samantha began biblioblogging in November 2009, although she also has a mainly personal blog at Again, Beginning Again. The focus of Scholarly Bound is “on the New Testament and Philosophy of Religions.” Her Masters dissertation was on Pionius the Presbyter, who was martyred in 249 C.E.

2. Josh Philpot (The Old Perspective). Josh begain blogging in April 2009. He is a Ph.D. candidate in Old Testament at Southern Seminary (Louisville, Kentucky), under the supervision of Duane Garrett. Josh believes it is a “serious flaw” to read Daniel as though it was written in the time of the Maccabees, rather than in 605-538 BC, “as the book itself attests.”

3. Matt Estrada (Christian Allegorical Interpretations). In September 2009, Matt began posting papers of allegorical interpretations of the Bible and other texts. In his own words, the purpose of his blog is “to provide you with what I believe to be important, lost, allegorical interpretations of “christian” texts, both Biblical and other, now in the process of recovery.” Have a read of his interesting comments on the story of The Wedding at Cana here.
