June BiblioBlog Top 50 by Alexa and Other Big News …

Posted by Jeremy on June 30, 2011

Well, this may come as a shock to some of you, but we are approaching the end of BiblioBlog rankings by Alexa …

Steve has already made mention of it HERE, so I guess the cat is already out of the bag to some extent.  He is working on our very own BiblioBlog ranking system that is not enslaved to Alexa.  That’s right, we’re getting ready to be the real deal now.  It’ll be like BiblioBloggerati … or something.  To be honest, I’m a bit floored by Steve’s computer skills.

In addition, the folks here at the BiblioBlog Top 50 have recently written up a set of criteria for what will be considered a BiblioBlog, a related blog, etc … well, mostly Steve wrote up the criteria and we gave our input.  So (and this is meant for those listed below as well as for those that didn’t make the top 50 this month) don’t be surprised if your blog is classified and ranked differently shortly (or even dropped).

I pondered making use of Steve’s updated lists this month, but it didn’t seem worth the time considering he’ll have everything revamped and up and running soon.  And a few blogs are still pending recategorization.  I’m not sure of his exact time frame for having kicked off, but I do know that he’ll have some kind of announcement within the week.

So, I’m not sure if this will be the final time for Alexa or if we might need a little time for the new ranking system to start calculating stats … At any rate, here’s your BiblioBlog Top 50 for June while that news sinks in … oh, and congrats again to Joel:

I’m curious, how do you hold a number 1 spot on the internet in your hands (cold, dead or otherwise)?

I am looking forward to the new system.

I am not sure how the Alexa ranking research is done, since I should have made the list the last couple months, but didn’t. For example, my current Alexa rank is 900k. No big deal, but I’m just curious.

Well, this may be unfortunate for my blog. Reason being is that I tend to explore biblical concepts in philosophically.

But, if I can be on this list, my blog is currently ranked 769,750. Here’s my site: christmyredeemer.wordpress.com

    All the best,

    Chris

Why is Loftus on this list? He is an admitted liar who has been caught making up things about people.
